"Ted! Nina! Can you go to Mr. Jones's grocery for me?"

Of course Nina and Ted wanted to go for Mother. Ted came
running as fast as he could. Nina came running as
fast as she could. Tippy ran too, but he was so fat he couldn't
run fast.
"Let me go!" cried Ted
"Let me go!" called Nina.
Tippy's waggy tail said "I want to go, too!"
"You may both go," said Mother. "But Tippy
must stay at home."
Mother let
Ted carry the little purse that Aunt Marion had brought from London. The
purse closes with a zipper and has a little silver ball to pull it open.
Mother let Nina carry the basket that Grandma bought from the Indians. The basket had red stripes. It had a strong handle, too.
Mother printed a list of things she wanted. Nina could read it. Can you? |
