Tippy wiggled under the stove. Ted ran over to the little white cupboard. The cupboard was too high for Ted to reach. He had to climb up on the kitchen stool. He found the raisins.
Mother had the sugar. She had taken the spices from the spice-box. The spice-box was very old. Grandmas used to have it.

It was painted bright red with a rose on top. The spice-box held a box for cinnamon, a box for mace, a box for nutmeg, and one for cloves.
Nina loved the old spice-box. She would like to have it to keep.
